My One-Year Anniversary with TED

On March 28, 2015, I did the coolest thing ever.

I’ve referenced it a couple times in my blog. It’s been my fun fact for every ice breaker since then. And I’ve probably told you about it or mentioned if you’ve talked to me since then.

I gave a talk at TEDxYorkU.

Have YU Met TED?

For those of you that are frequent readers of my blog, you probably have noticed that I tend to link a lot of my posts back to a TEDTalk. This past week, I had the immense pleasure of participating in York Student Community and Leadership Development (SC&LD) second of five workshops part of their Social Change Model of Leadership certificate program. The Social Change Model of Leadership was developed in 1993 as a way to further empower student to be change agents in whatever field or passion they are committed too.  (more…)

Happiness = Productivity

I’m going to start off this post by being honest: I’m stressed.

I have a to-do list that seems to never end, and keeps growing. I’ll admit, part of that is my fault. I didn’t budget my time that well this weekend; yesterday instead of staying on campus and working on my assignments, I decided that I would go get my Halloween costume. And then when I got back, I watched Netflix. And then I went to see Pitch Perfect with friends.

So now it’s Sunday night, and I’m stressed because the school week starts tomorrow, and I have a lot to this week; it is midterm season, after all. With everything piling up, this mountain of work seems to never end.  (more…)
